Bringing you Lochaber Music Festival 2026!

The most exciting festival news this year is that we have welcomed many new faces to our committee and stewards teams - thank you so much to these supportive, enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers, who make the workload of our experienced, longstanding members so much lighter.  We appreciate your joining us!  If anyone else would like to help out, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with me.

  

Do share the syllabus with anyone you know who might be interested in participating or coming along to hear the performances.  Within it, you will find all the information you require in order to enter the classes. Please study the rules carefully. It is very important that you note the closing date for entries, which is Saturday 31st January 2026 - with NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED AT ALL THIS YEAR.

 

Please note that Lochaber Schools’ Pipe Band have generously offered to sponsor all LMF 2026 chanter and bagpipe competitions again, so there is no charge to enter any of these competitions – simply complete the entry form at Play & Perform. Thank you so much to Lochaber Schools’ Pipe Band.

 

The Young Musician of the Year competition, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lochaber, is separate from the festival itself, but is run at the same time – please consider entering where your talent allows!

  

We are always grateful to those of you who decide to become members or patrons of Lochaber Music Festival, many of you giving financial support year on year. If you are not already a member, why not join now? You will receive a programme and season ticket (valid for all classes) through the post, and we will send you the syllabus automatically next year. That form can be found here too.
